About me

Grete Elise Rillo was born in August 2009 and has always been interested in different types of art: either painting, sketching, photography or even design.

She held her first personal exhibition ”pretty(ugly)” in 2024 in the frames of a school project. Ever since then, she has continued with her hobbies at home and is hoping to get more such experiences in the not too far future.

Ever since she was in kindergarten, she has loved drawing people and at a younger age, cats. She finds peace and safety in pouring her emotions onto a canvas; it’s the way she expresses herself.

She has been a part of a few art schools before, however is currently happily working on her own. She is looking forward to an opportunity of studying in EKA (Eesti Kunstiakadeemia), Tartu Ülikool, or in Germany after graduating, specializing in art history or painting.

In addition to her interest for art, she has also discovered a fondness for writing poetry, in which she can put into words what she usually couldn’t.

Inspired by her mother, she has also been keen on photography. She thinks it is interesting to notice details that others wouldn’t and that would normally go unseen. It is a way of finding beauty in the ordinary.
